Police ID victim in fatal Alexandria hit-and-run

UPDATE 5:03 p.m. Sept. 4, 2015: Police have identified the victim of the fatal hit-and-run as Deborah Ann Bogart, 60, of Alexandria. EARLIER: 12:22 p.m. Sept. 3, 2015:

WASHINGTON — The Alexandria, Virginia police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a woman dead on Thursday morning.

She was struck on Commonwealth Avenue and Braddock Road at about 9:20 a.m., police spokeswoman Crystal Nosal says. Police don’t know yet whether she was crossing the street, or whether she was on foot or on a bike.

They’re asking anyone who saw anything regarding the accident to call 703-746-6873.
