3-year-old boy dies after being hit by car in Alexandria

WASHINGTON — A 3-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in Alexandria Saturday evening.

The boy was struck in the 3900 block of Executive Avenue sometime after 4 p.m., Alexandria police said.

The child was struck and was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

The driver stayed at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
