One man is under arrest after early morning police chases in Fairfax County, Virginia, involving three Tesla sedans and an SUV that were reported stolen.
An officer stopped to check on three Teslas and a Mitsubishi SUV that were stopped on the side of the road at Leesburg Pike and Gosnell Road around 3 a.m. on Friday.
Two of the sedans and the SUV sped away leaving one unoccupied Tesla sedan behind.
Police chased the SUV but lost sight of it, eventually finding it along one of the Teslas that had been left on the 8200 block of Little River Turnpike.
The other Tesla had crashed into a concrete barrier near Leesburg Pike and Interstate 495, and the driver had run away.
Police said the Tesla sedans were stolen from a dealership in Tysons Corner, and the SUV was also reported stolen.
One man has been taken into custody; charges are pending further investigation. A police helicopter helped with the search.
