Voters in Maryland braved the rain early Tuesday to cast their ballots in a primary election to decide party nominees in races for governor, congressional seats and leadership positions across local government.

Polls close at 8 p.m. in Maryland, meaning the rain cleared out in plenty of time for the rush of evening voters. See live results here and results in local races here once polls close.

Man arrested in connection to armed robbery in Northwest DC pharmacy

A man was arrested in connection to an armed robbery of a pharmacy in Northwest D.C. Friday. Police said Jamari Brighthaupt, 25, of Southeast D.C., was wearing a ski mask when he entered a pharmacy in the 1800 block of Columbia Road NW and demanded prescription medications. He then, "jumped over the counter and made additional demands while brandishing a firearm," police said. Brighthaupt then fled the pharmacy with stolen prescription drugs, according to police.
