WASHINGTON — The 23rd annual Hauntings Tours in historic downtown Leesburg, Virginia, begin Friday night, and founder Peter Kelpinski says there are a lot of ghosts to meet.
“A lot of people that lived (in Leesburg) must have liked it enough that they decided to stick around after they died,” says Kelpinski, who will lead the 90- minute walking tours on Friday and Saturday night.
Kelpinski says the tour will have seven stops this year, many at private homes that residents say are haunted.
“We have had reports of floating white orbs and a woman that appears at the foot of their beds,” Kelpinski says.
Storytellers at each stop will share tales of spooky sightings. Kelpinski says stories are added every year as new ghosts make their presence known.
