The Bye Bye, Bei Bei parties continued over the weekend, celebrating the giant panda the D.C. area has come to love before he’s sent to China as part of a partnership with the China Wildlife Conservation Association.

On Saturday, visitors watched Bei Bei enjoy a cake, wrote notes for Bei Bei that will travel with him to China, made friendship bracelets and enjoyed dumplings provided by the Embassy of China.

Anyone who missed Saturday’s celebration can still join in the bittersweet fun on Sunday.
