Man involved in crash killed by hit-and-run driver in Upper Marlboro

A driver involved in a crash in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Sunday night was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver as he exchanged information outside his vehicle.

Maryland State Police said it happened shortly after 7:20 p.m. on eastbound Central Avenue west of Campus Way in Upper Marlboro.



Police said two people, who police said were involved in a crash prior to the hit and run, were outside of their vehicles exchanging information along Central Avenue.

That’s when police said the driver of an unknown third vehicle struck the victim and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Police added that the man’s identity is being withheld until their family can be notified.
