City pools in DC open for first weekend

WASHINGTON (AP) — City pools are open for the first weekend in Washington.

Mayor Vincent Gray officially opened the summer pool season on Friday, and the pools are open through Memorial Day on Monday. The city operates 18 outdoor pools, 19 spray parks and four children’s pools.

The pools and spray parks will be open on Saturdays and Sundays through June 22.

On June 23, which is a Monday, all pools will open for their summer hours, which include weekdays.
