Man dead after trying to cross Suitland Parkway

WASHINGTON (AP) — Park Police officers are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck while trying to cross Suitland Parkway.

Park Police says it happened just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday and that the man was trying to cross Suitland Parkway to get to the other side of Naylor Road. The location is not far from the green line’s Naylor Road Metro Station.

It was not immediately clear if the man was walking in a crosswalk.

The driver and a few witnesses stayed at the scene.
