Two injured in Montgomery County construction site collapse

WASHINGTON — Two people were injured after a construction site collapsed in Rockville, Maryland, on Saturday morning.

The collapse occurred on North Washington Street around 8:45 a.m.

Pete Piringer, spokesman for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service, said workers were pouring concrete when a deck collapsed.

Two people were taken to the hospital but were expected to be OK.

Six people were also evaluated on the scene.
