2 workers hurt by falling concrete beam

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — A falling concrete beam has injured two construction workers in Virginia Beach.

Virginia Beach fire spokeswoman Amy Valdez says crews were resetting the beam at a parking garage under construction at a Wal-Mart when the beam fell Monday.

Both workers were knocked to the ground. The Virginian-Pilot (http://bit.ly/Rm9EMY) reports they were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. One of them had been standing on the concrete, the other fell out of a hydraulic lift.
