Crash in Fort Washington leaves one dead

WASHINGTON — A man is dead Monday morning after a two-car crash in Fort Washington, Maryland.

It happened around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Indian Head Highway and East Swan Creek Road.

A car going southbound on Indian Head Highway crossed over into northbound traffic, Nicole Hubbard, a spokeswoman for the Prince George’s County Police Department.

Hubbard says the car struck another vehicle, sending both drivers to the hospital.

One driver died. The other has serious — but not life-threatening — injuries.

During the investigation, all northbound lanes of Md. 210 were blocked after Swan Creek Road/Livingston Road near Aragona Boulevard. They have reopened.
