Crash causes electrical problems in Poolesville

WASHINGTON — A vehicle accident that knocked over a pole caused traffic problems in Maryland Thursday morning.

Todd Meyers of Potomac Edison tells WTOP the crash caused some electrical problems that the utility needed to address. More than 300 customers were affected.

Electricity has since been restored.

All lanes of Md. 107 in Poolesville at Fisher Avenue are blocked between Cattail Road and Wootton Avenue because of the wires.

School buses used alternate routes to get to Poolesville Elementary School.
