Police search for missing Kensington teen

WASHINGTON – Police are looking for a teen girl from Kensington who has been missing since December.

Montgomery County police are asking for help locating Shayla M. Franklin, 16, who was last seen Dec. 17, 2013.

She is familiar with local public transportation systems and is known to frequently visit D.C. She has a medical condition that needs monitoring, according to police.

Police describe Shayla as as 5-foot-5, weighing 145 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information about Shayla is asked to call police at 240-773-5400 or 301-279-8000.
