Garrick Utley dies of prostate cancer

WASHINGTON — Garrick Utley, who was a longtime foreign correspondent and anchor for NBC News, has died of prostate cancer. He was 74.

Utley covered Vietnam and a wide range of stories in Europe before returning to the U.S. to cover national politics.

He also hosted NBC’s “Meet The Press” and Sunday’s “Today Show.”
