Southbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway reopens

WASHINGTON — Southbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway reopened 2 1/2 hours after being shut down because of icy conditions.

After a number of drivers spun out on the ice, the parkway was shut down and salt trucks were brought in.

Additionally, Baltimore-Washington Parkway’s northbound lanes were closed after Md. 410 because of a crash. The lanes reopened after 8 a.m. after they were closed for more than two hours.
