WASHINGTON – Are you annoyed by your co-workers’ cell-phone use at the office? You’re not alone.

The study of 1,070 American workers by Jive Software found that 87 percent had a problem with their co-workers’ cell-phone habits. The number-one offense? Having loud conversations in public areas, which annoyed 65 percent of those surveyed.

Nearly 60 percent of respondents were bothered by colleagues failing to silence their phones, and more than half were peeved by people checking their phones while having an in-person conversation.

Perhaps surprisingly, taking a “selfie” while at the office wasn’t considered such a problem: It only offended 25 percent of those asked.
