‘Family Guy’ kills off a main character

WASHINGTON — The show “Family Guy” killed off one of its most beloved characters on Monday night when family dog “Brian” was hit by a car.

The martini-loving canine was killed in the show’s 11th season and a new dog was adopted named Vinny, voiced by Sopranos’ star Tony Sirico, who played Paulie in the HBO drama.

Some fans have voiced disappointment in the show’s decision and are petitioning FOX and the show’s creator Seth MacFarlane to bring back the dog.
