What 155-year tradition is Macy’s breaking? (Video)

Macy’s Inc. will break 155 years of tradition this Thanksgiving as the department store operator will open at least some of its stores at 8 p.m. on the holiday, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

The Cincinnati-based retailer would be joining a growing list of retailers who extended “Black Friday” sales into Thanksgiving.

A Macy’s spokeswoman told the Sun-Times the company is set to announce its Thanksgiving plans this week.
