WASHINGTON — “Remember: Hugs are just the beginning,” promise the designers behind the new Panda Coat, a fuzzy black-and-white take on the cool-weather staple.

The latest addition to the Griz Coat line already has 146 backers on Kickstarter that have pledged more than $17,000 total for the jacket, which is described as feeling like “straight butter.”

The coat features a detachable panda hood and comes in two sizes.
