WASHINGTON — An air of informality was the rule at most of the few workplaces where operations kept going during the weekend’s snowstorm, and the Metropolitan Police Department was no exception.

Officers helped residents free stuck cars; residents returned the favor. And from blasting the “Frozen” soundtrack through the city’s streets to making fun of each other’s car-pushing attempts to joining an impromptu street football game and stiff-arming citizens in the process, the D.C. police’s Twitter feed documented officers making the best of a tough weekend.
