Fire at Prince George’s apartment complex under investigation

WASHINGTON — A fire at an apartment complex in Hyattsville, Maryland area is under investigation.

Prince George’s County Fire spokesman Mark Brady tweeted that firefighters made some rescues, but no one was injured. Fire officials say 26 people have been displaced from their homes because the apartments lack utilities. The Red Cross is helping those displaced.

The fire at 3:30 a.m. at the Queens Park Plaza apartments was quickly put out.

Firefighters from Montgomery County assisted Prince George’s County with the fire in the 2500 block of Queens Chapel Road.
