L Street reopens after shooting investigation

WASHINGTON — An investigation into a shooting in downtown D.C. closed L Street, NW, from 19th to 18th streets and 18th Street from K to M streets during the Monday morning commute.

L Street and 18th Street reopened just after 9 a.m.

Police say a man was shot just before 3 a.m. Monday.

He was conscious and breathing when taken to the hospital, police say.

Some buses through the area were delayed.
