Forever stamp commemorates March on Washington

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Postal Service is out with a forever stamp that commemorates the 1963 March on Washington.

The Forever stamp, with the word, “Equality,” is the third in a civil rights series.

The stamp shows marchers near the Washington Monument with signs calling for equal rights and jobs for all.

The other stamps in the series commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Rosa Parks.
