Police investigate shooting at Gaithersburg McDonald’s

WASHINGTON — Police in Montgomery County, Maryland say a man was injured in a shooting Christmas Eve at a McDonald’s in Gaithersburg. Police say the victim was taken to a hospital by another person at the scene, and his injuries were not life-threatening. The shooting happened around 8 p.m. at the McDonald’s located on the 400 block of North Frederick Avenue, near Odendhal Avenue. Witnesses were being interviewed, and police are continuing to investigate the shooting. No additional information has been released at this time.
