Md. flies flags at half staff on Tuesday

The United States and Maryland state flags are to be flown at half staff on Tuesday.

Gov. Martin O’Malley has ordered the flags to be lowered from sunrise to sunset in memory of Airman 1st Class Matthew R. Seidler, of Westminster, who died on Jan. 5 in Shir ghazi, Helmand province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

This action is taken under the Protocol for the United States and Maryland State flags. Any questions on the above should be directed to the Office of the Secretary of State.
