WASHINGTON — There might be too many clouds for folks in the WTOP listening area to glimpse the Quadrantids, but thanks to streaming video, stargazers will be able to check out the super meteor shower anyway.

According to Space.com, the shower will likely peak Saturday January 3, at  9 p.m, based on past observations. The Slooh Community Observatory will be hosting a live streaming of the peak of the meteor shower at that time.

The Quadrantids  is the first meteor shower of the year, with the peak producing as many as 80 visible meteors per hour. More  information about this spectacular show, here.
