The 12th DC Hip-Hop Theater Festival is underway until Sunday July 12th. Filled with lots of Theatre, Dance, Art & Music. Hip-hop is not ONE thing! It is music and rhythms and rhymes that have given birth to dozens of sub-genres with roots in reggae, disco, funk and of course.. rapping. The Festival kicked off on the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage with a family friendly program starring DC’s own Grammy Nominated ChrisSTYLEZ Bacon giving a kind of how-to beat-box for kids.
