MARC: Slight delay in Monday’s commute after Friday derailment

WASHINGTON – The Maryland Transit Administration says that the Friday derailment of a CSX train will have only a small impact on Monday’s MARC trains.

In a statement issued Sunday, the MTA said that crews have worked all weekend on the damage caused by the derailment of a CSX train on Friday between St. Denis and Camden Station, and that there will be full service on the Camden Line on Monday.

A damaged set of signals is taking longer than anticipated to repair, MTA says, so there will be a five- to ten-minute delay on the Camden Line in the area of the accident.
