WASHINGTON – The Fairfax County Government Center is closed for the rest of Wednesday.

The county says it’s because of an “extended” power outage.

Dominion Power says there are about 100 customers out across Northern Virginia.

Pepco has about 250 customers out — mainly in the Montgomery Village area.

Several of the area’s power companies are also reporting scattered outages.
