4 kids hurt in Prince George’s Co. two-vehicle crash

WASHINGTON — Seven people are in the hospital after a two vehicles collided on a Prince George’s County roadway Thursday afternoon, causing one vehicle to crash into a tree.

Prince George’s County Fire and Rescue says two vehicles were involved in a crash near New Hampshire and Poplar avenues in Chillum, Maryland, at about 3 p.m. One of the cars struck at tree.

Four children — whose ages range from 4 to 10 — and three adults were involved in the crash. Three children are in critical condition and one is in serious condition.

The adults involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

It’s not yet clear what led to the crash.
