Woman killed in Northeast D.C. shooting

WASHINGTON — A woman is dead after a shooting in Northeast Washington on Wednesday night.

Police say a woman and man were shot around 6:20 p.m. along the 4200 block of Edson Place, Northeast, near 42nd Street, Northeast. The woman was killed, but no information was released about the man’s condition.

Earlier in the day, two juvenile males were shot as they got off a bus along East Capitol Street near the Benning Road Metro station. That shooting happened around 3:20 p.m. Both are expected to recover.

In a third shooting on Wednesday, a juvenile was shot on Randle Place in Southeast Washington around 4 p.m. Police say he was seriously injured.
