2 injured in Northeast D.C. shooting

WASHINGTON — D.C. police are investigating a shooting that happened in Northeast D.C. Wednesday afternoon.

Two juvenile males were shot in the 4500 block of East Capitol Street near the Benning Road Metro station at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Both males are conscious and breathing, according to police.

Police are investigating what led to the shooting. It is not yet clear if a suspect is in custody.
