Southwest computer glitch forces manual processing, delays Sunday

WASHINGTON — Southwest airlines apologized to passengers Sunday, as delays caused by computer problems forced the carrier to manually process some passengers.

The glitches are affecting the company’s website, mobile app and reservations centers.

Southwest estimates the problem is impacting 250 flights, out of approximately 3,600 scheduled.

The airline is asking passengers to arrive at least two hours before their scheduled departures “to help minimize delays.” This affects all airports.
