3 men shot, 1 fatally in Southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON — D.C. police say one man was fatally shot and two others were critically wounded in the 2500 block of Elvans Road, Southeast, on Saturday just before midnight last night.

Police responded to reports of gunshots and found three wounded men.

One man was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to the Chief Medical Examiner’s office. The two other men were taken to hospital with critical injuries.

The victims have not been named yet.

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who offers information leading to a conviction.

Homicides in D.C. are up by 45 percent this year compared to last year.
