WASHINGTON – Can’t wait for the National Cherry Blossom Festival to start? Good news – there’s an app for that.

It’s very pink and available for Android and iPhone. Organizers think you might make the best of this year’s festival if you download the free app.

Once the app opens, you’ll see a little animation featuring blossoms and fireworks. A menu then pops up featuring several topic buttons: Map, events, information, news, city in bloom, dining and more.

There’s also a button that helps you share your festival experiences on Facebook and Twitter.
