Baltimore County man found unharmed

UPDATE -- 3:51 a.m. 9/10/2015: Joseph Potterfield was located unharmed in Baltimore County, police say. The Silver Alert has been cancelled. PREVIOUS:

WASHINGTON — A Silver Alert was issued early Thursday for a missing 82-year-old man in Baltimore County.

Police say Joseph Ward Potterfield was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of Cromwood Road in Parkville.

Potterfield has blue eyes and gray, balding hair. He was wearing a green, long sleeve shirt with blue jeans and white shoes. Police say his vehicle is a green 2007 Ford 500.

The pitching of Steve Dalkowski made it to the big screen, but he never made it to the major leagues. Dalkowski, who pitched for the Baltimore Orioles’ minor leagues teams from 1957-1965, died April 19 at the age of 80. The Nuke LaLoosh character in the movie classic "Bull Durham" was loosely based on Dalkowski’s career.
