Verizon Center to get billboard-size digital signs

The D.C. Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs approved permits to allow billboard-size digital signs on the facade of Verizon Center by this summer, The Washington Post reported.

The signs had drawn public opposition because of their size and bright lights. Owner Ted Leonsis had fought a two-year battle to get the District’s approval for the project.
