WASHINGTON — Little dogs. Big dreams. It’s a nice motto for the El Paso Chihuahuas minor league baseball team and took on new meaning when the Double A team held a promotional race involving dachshunds

The Wienerschnitzel Weiner Dog race featured eight dachshunds with the winning dog not only having its day, but winning $500.

The second place finisher did not win any money, but after crossing the finishing line stole the show by running around the outfield and base paths before lying down for a belly rub.
