Police ID man who died after shooting in Wheaton Metro station parking garage

WASHINGTON — A man has died after a shooting in a parking garage at the Wheaton Metro station Tuesday night, according to the Montgomery County police.

Police say 20-year-old Eric Melgar died as a result of his injuries.

Police said Wednesday morning that two suspects are in custody. Douglas Chase, 19, and Brent Sanderson, 18, are being charged with first degree murder.

The motive is still under investigation and police have not released any additional details at this time.
