How to help those affected by Newtown massacre

WASHINGTON – An official fund has been established for families of the victims of the school shooting in Connecticut.

CNN reports the Sandy Hook School Support Fund was set up by the United Way of Western Connecticut, which will provide support for both the families and the Newtown community as a whole.

All donations to this fund will go directly to those affected, CNN says.

The Newtown Patch news website also has information for those who want to contribute.
