Arrest made in Woodbridge killing; shooter still sought

WASHINGTON — Police say they’ve arrested one man in the shooting death of a Woodbridge man earlier this week, and are still looking for the man they say pulled the trigger.

The Prince William County police say that Christopher Coward, 35, of Vienna, was arrested Monday by the Arlington police in the Sunday shooting death of 19-year-old Christopher Weaver. Coward has been charged with murder and is being held without bond; the police say he was “present and involved” in the shooting.

Police are still looking for Bryan Patterson, 25, of Woodbridge. They say he shot and killed Weaver, and wounded a 15-year-old, in what they’re calling a neighborhood dispute that started on Kingsman Drive.

Patterson is described as black; 5 feet, 11 inches tall; 165 pounds; with short black hair, brown eyes and a beard. If you’ve seen him, or have any information about where he is, call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-8477.
