Man shot at Laurel Walmart

WASHINGTON – Police say a robbery may have led to the shooting of a man at the Laurel Walmart early Wednesday morning.

Anne Arundel County Police Lt. J.D. Batten tells WTOP police received a call about 4:17 a.m. Wednesday and found a 28-year-old man who had been shot in the upper body. He was found outside the store.

He’s was taken to the Prince George’s Trauma Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police had blocked off the entrances to the shopping complex where the Walmart store is located and officers could be seen searching the parking lot.

Police were expect to release more information later.
