Pedestrian killed on U.S. 1 in Fairfax County

WASHINGTON – A pedestrian was killed early Thursday morning, after being struck by a vehicle on U.S. 1 in Fairfax County.

The accident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. near the intersection with Huntington Avenue, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle who struck the pedestrian remained on the scene.

The victim of the accident was not immediately identified. Follow WTOP on Twitter.
