6 Washington charities split $160K in Chase Bank grants

JP Morgan Chase & Co.’s (NYSE: JPM) Chase Bank’s 2012 Chase Community Giving program includes six Washington charities that will share $160,000 in grants.

Chase’s philanthropy program, launched in 2009, is awarding a total of $5 million to 196 charities nationwide this year.

In Washington, winners include $100,000 to World Environmental Organization, $20,000 to Earth Day Network Inc., and $10,000 each to Hmong National Development Inc., Active Minds Inc, International Association for Human Values and Delta Research and Educational Foundation.

About 30,000 charities were nominated this year by Chase customers and employees.
