WASHINGTON – Police in Prince George’s County canvased a Mitchellville, Maryland community Wednesday evening in an effort to gain information about an April sexual assault. A man sexually assaulted a woman in the 11000 block of Lake Arbor Way, near Winged Foot Drive, around 5:40 a.m. on April 29. Police say the suspect approached a 19-year-old as she was walking and forced her into a nearby field, where he sexually assaulted her. The man implied that he had a gun. The suspect is a black man, 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5-feet-6-inches to 5-feet-7-inches tall, with a thin to average build and freckles. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and a nylon skull cap at the time of the assault. Police passed out a flyer with a sketch of the suspect Wednesday. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in the case.
