Museum construction will force D.C. road closures

WASHINGTON -— The construction of the National Museum of African-American History and Culture will cause some road closures and delays that will run through the end of next week.

The National Park Service says that 15th Street NW will close after the evening rush hour on Thursday between Jefferson Drive SW and Constitution Avenue NW and remain closed until 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 5. At that point, Madison Drive NW will be closed between 14th Street and 15th Street NW until the end of next week.

The park service recommends that everyone from motorists to cyclists and pedestrians should look for alternate routes.
