WASHINGTON – A State Department official appeared in court on Tuesday on charges of voyeurism and stalking.

Daniel Rosen, 44, of D.C., waived his preliminary hearing in D.C. Superior Court. He was arrested last month. The D.C. police said a search of his phone turned up videos of women taken in their homes from outside, in the Adams Morgan, Mount Pleasant and U Street neighborhoods.

in February, Rosen was also arrested after a series of online exchanges with a Fairfax County detective with the Child Exploitation Unit who posed as a girl in an Internet chat room. He’s charged with one count of using a communications device to solicit a juvenile.

Rosen, who was listed as director of counterterrorism for the State Department, is on administrative leave.
