30-ton humpback whale washes ashore in Australia (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON – Beachgoers were stunned to see a dead humpback whale washed shore in Sydney, Australia’s northern shore earlier this week.

The giant 30-ton creature was found in an oceanside pool and locals said they could smell the carcass from far away, according to Reuters.

Cleanup efforts will likely take several days, officials say.
