Janelle Monae tells fan to ‘sit down’ over pantsuit comment

WASHINGTON — Janelle Monae, who just released a new pop-dance video warning “get off my areola,” told a Twitter fan recently to “sit down” after he questioned her trademark suits. Apparently it wasn’t the first time the singer had been asked about her attire, which, in a world of short skirts and midriffs a la Miley Cyrus, really distinguishes her from the rest. But one Twitter-wagging tongue got a lashing when he brought it up, again. “Girl, stop being so soulful and be sexy,” the user @mellow_saa tweeted. “Tired of those dumbass suits…you fine but u too damn soulful man.” She responded, in kind:

The hip-hop icon of Wu-Tang fame has teamed up with the ice cream brand Good Humor to re-imagine the signature "Turkey in the Straw" jingle played by ice cream trucks all over the country. Because, as it turns out, the tune has a problematic past.
